Project description

3D characterisation of minerals and pore-structures at a pore-scale level will be obtained by fusion of 2D and 3D data, derived from different traditional and high-technological imaging techniques. Chemical and structural 3D data gained from high-resolution X-ray CT and micro X-ray fluorescence will be linked to 2D information obtained by optical and scanning electron microscopy combined with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy.
