Project description

In deformation belts it may be extremely difficult to distinguish hard-rock deformation featurers, formed after lithification, from soft-sediment deformation features formed at or directly below the sea floor. The Plougastel Formation (Brittany) contains pre-lithification deformation features and extends from a virtually undeformed area with intense post-lithification deformation, this allowing distinction between pre- and post-lithification deformation.
