Project description

Under the KET call this project will establish a roadmap for industrial biotechnology in Flanders. They will here focus on both the companies active in Flanders, which create economic value through the development and use of Industrial Biotechnology, as the Flemish research institutes and universities that companies end support in a relevant way and other possible stakeholders such as service and technology providers. The target group for this feasibility study can be simplified divided into the following three sub-groups: Primary target group: deals with the conversion and bioprocessing of renewable raw materials into building blocks, intem1ediaire products and process aids with the aid of biological systems. This target group includes companies from the chemical, fermentation, agribusiness and bio-energy sector. Secondary target group involves both suppliers of raw materials (agriculture, agro-industry, food) and also the users of these products can be used indiverse sectors including textile, food, paper & amp; cardboard ... Tertiary target group includes technology developers and service providers and is very diverse.
