Project description

The established hypothesis in anthropology and cross-cultural psychology that cultures differ in the relative salience of guilt and shame is investigated in a set of very diverse countries. The research is executed from emotion-psychological and cross-cultural perspectives. Cultural differences in both practice of and potentiality to guilt and shame are looked at.
