Project description

The scientific aim of this project is to assess the impact of early palatal closure (< 6 months) on speech in babies living in Uganda and to determine the impact of delayed palatal closure (> 18 years) on speech in adults. Regarding developmental care, the main purposes are training of speech therapists, the creation of a speech clinic and evaluation of the surgical time protocol.
