Production and consumption need to be redirected and driven towards sustainability, this already at the design of value chains. To that extent, profound production and consumption chain analysis is required.  This project is intended to develop and apply proper assessment methodologies to this purpose. Aspects do not only cover analysis towards environmental sustainability, but also encompasses social and economic aspects. Also attention to circularity and proper use of critical raw materials is in focus. Apart from methodological developments, applications in three sectors are envisaged: fine chemistry and pharma; value chains in the agro/bio/food sector, and in the raw materials sector where raw material applications into the renewable energy sector is in focus.
