Project description

Flows along cylinders occur in heat exchangers, air-jet looms and reactors. However, the vibration of these cylinders due to interaction with the flow is not fully understood. To improve the efficiency and safety of these devices, insights will be developed about multiple flexible cylinders in axial flow, supersonic flow along a cylinder and multi-phase flow along a cylinder.
