Project description

The finalization of the operation of the accumulated CMS detector and techniques to reconstruct the proton collisions, is paramount to the successful operation of the CMS detector at the LHC at CERN. The low energy proton collisions recorded in 2009 and 2010, we will use to calibrate both the different sub-detectors and to study the performance of different trigger, simulation and reconstruction techniques. For this we go out of our combined knowledge of the detector and acquired physics phenomenology through other FWO projects. Along with these other projects, this project is a natural and coherent whole in order to achieve optimal operation of the CMS detector.
