Project description

Bioscience engineering with new materials represents an important interdisciplinary research area. In this project, we will develop and characterize nanoparticles, which will, on the one hand, serve as drug delivery carriers, while on the other hand, can be incorporated into various coatings. Both organic and inorganic nanoparticles will be developed and characterized. Subsequently, they will be compared and used for biomedical application. In the first instance, drug delivery applications will be investigated, where efforts will be put to investigate the interaction of nanoparticles with the cells. In the following step, the particles will be integrated into soft/hydrogel coatings which can be used to seed cells onto them.
