The project GeoMobiel wants young people to fill vacancies as technical surveyor, cartographer, GIS expert and geo-ICT''er. This by bringing them into contact with the wide range of applications and opportunities offered by the sector for young entrepreneurs. There is indeed a need for graduates in that direction for further development of the geo-sector. GeoMobiel organizes hands-on activities around Geomatics for students in the third grade of secondary education. That way they get a better picture of the possibilities and applications of geography and geomatics in the business world. Geographers and geomatici of Ghent, Brussels and the KU Leuven organize the activities. They bring when they visit the school modern topographic instruments, and change your class in a geo-laboratory.
