Project description

The objectives of the proposed project are: 1) Determine if strigolactone controls adventitious root formation in cuttings from woody species such as Poplar.

2) Determine if the strigolactone inhibition of adventitious root formation is correlated with the physiological properties (juvenility, preceding stress conditions, morphological or topological characteristics) of the cuttings.

3) Determine if there is a relationship between strigolactone and auxin through ARF6, ARF8 and ARF17 in the context of de novo root organogenesis.
