Project description

The research project envisages a detailed chronometric study of te Ommongwa lunette dune and its associated pan (Omaheke, Namibia) complemented by sedimentological and mineralogical investigations. The age determinations are carried out with optical luminescence applied to quartz. The study wants to eludicate the processes and factors that were responsible for the dune formation and evolution and constrain them into time.
