Project description

The cognitive view on lying postulates that lying is cognitively demanding. Response inhibition is likely to play a key role in lying, since liars always have to suppres the truth. The project aims to investigate this response inhibition hypothesis. Research will focus on the role of self-control and arousal during lying, and the neuroscienctific basis of the lying proces.
