Project description
Difficulties with drug resistance detection are often caused by the limitation of transport of samples. The main objective of this project is to investigate the feasibility to use DNA extracted from different transportation supports (sputum smear-slides, filter paper cards, and ethanol-stored samples) for the molecular detection of rifampicin and isoniazid resistance using the GenoType MTBDRplus kit.
