Project description
Chemical modification of chitosan will be studied, followed by controlled hydrolysis, in order to develop new bio-based fungicides and insecticides. These new agents will be tested on insects and plants in order to compare their activity with non-modified chitosan and also efforts will be made to locate te target site of the compounds and to unravel their mode of action.
