Although foster care in Flanders strongly promotes shared parenthood 'in the best interest of the child', there is no (1) pedagogical conceptualization of shared parenthood and (2) concrete interpretation of how shared parenthood can take shape in practice, let alone in an allcomprehensive case. Therefore, research within foster care into a shared and multi-perspectivistic way of parenthood is urgently needed.
