Financing was granted by the FWO to the Flemish Colleges and Universities, as well as a number of other organizations, in the context of implementing the Architecture Plan for Open Science Policy in Flanders and the Flemish Science Board (FOSB) for the period from January 2022 to December 31, 2023. The manner in which this funding should be used was specified in the Ministerieel besluit over de toekenning van de subsidies aan de betrokken instellingen voor de uitvoering van het FOSB Architectuurplan binnen het Open Science beleid in Vlaanderen en de Flemish Open science board (FOSB) on July 26, 2022. The consequences for UGent about this financing were structured in a contractual agreement.
