Project description

Adipose tissue and its byproducts are often used in the operating room (OR). Adipose tissue is transplanted in the same patient to treat surgical defects. Byproducts such as stromal vascular fraction (SVF) are used in regenerative medicine. When working with adipose tissue, an ischemia time of less than 6h is respected. Afterwards adipose tissue and its byproducts suffer cell death. We discovered a new technology to prolong the survival of the adipose tissue and its SVF.
