Project description

Focused on finding alternatives to the high-cost microalgae production and the sensitivity of bivalves to infectious diseases, this project (1) will evaluate the nutritional value of yeast mutants as a partial replacement for microalgae in oyster larvae and spat; and (2) the effect of ß-glucan
extracted from different mutant yeasts on the activation of the immune system of oysters.
