Project description

Patagonian glaciers are currently retreating at an alarming rate, due to the combined effect of increasing air temperature and decreasing precipitation. This project will generate new sediment records of Patagonian glacier variability to identify whether climate change equally affects glacier mass balance on the western (humid) and eastern (dry) sides of the southern Andes.
