Project description

The safety of prefabricated concrete floor systems built up using prestressed hollow core slabs is investigated quantitatively. Innovative models are developed to quantify membrane actions that can develop in such floor systems. The resistance against fire and unforeseen events is quantified using FE analyses, derived analytical formulas and structural reliability calculations. A decision making tool is developed enabling structural optimization.
