Development of a portable, USB powered ‘lab on a chip’ (LoC) to perform rapid forensic DNA profiling, without the current need for sophisticated laboratory instrumentation. The chip will be designed based on Imec’s expertise in silicon microchip development, incorporating all sequential steps of a DNA analysis into a disposable, single-use, closed-loop device.
