This proposal for funding aims at acquiring financial support to purchase an ASE350 equipment (Accelerated Solvent Extractor). This innovative solvent extration technique -hyphenated to advanced analytical equipment- offers the potential to measure trace concentration of enviromentally relevant contaminants in a rapid, effecient, and enviromental friendly way particularly in these cases where extraction from solid matrices is the first step in the analytical sequence.
