Project description

The pulsating heat pipe (PHP) is a relatively new thermal management system. The flow behaviour in PHPs consists of large vapor bubbles separated by liquid slugs. In this project the dynamics of the thin liquid film around the bubbles will be measured and modelled. This model will be incorporated in a global numerical model for the performance of a PHP.
