Project description

This project focusses on the kinetics of in-pore ice crystallization using a combined experimental-modeling approach. Ice crystallization processes will be studied by time-lapse imaging using µCT. Mechanical damage will be monitored on a pore scale level in real time under controlled temperature and/or pressure conditions. A numerical lattice fracture model will be applied.
