Project description
Creating a high-renewables electricity system requires a system-wide transition. Energy consumers play a pivotal role in providing flexibility to balance variable renewables output and using and self-generating renewable electricity. This research focuses on how EU law adapts energy consumption to facilitate renewable electricity uptake and sheds light on remaining regulatory gaps and challenges.
