Project description
BAPCOC (Belgian Antibiotic Policy Coordination Commission)
The 2022 edition of the "Belgian Guideline for Anti-Infective Treatment in Ambulatory Care" provides an overview of the current scientific knowledge regarding the utility and efficacy of anti-infective drugs in the treatment of common infections in primary care. The guideline contains recommendations for the management of these infections, based on the scientific literature and validated for application in Belgium by local experts. Although bacterial infections and antibiotic treatment are the primary focus, attention is also given to viral infections, yeast and fungal infections, antiviral agents, and antifungals that are relevant to primary care.
