Project description

This project aims to extend our knowledge about bethic pH dynamics in coastal ecosystems and its effect on water column acidification. A benthic biogeochemical model will integrate pH dynamics. Model calibration will be achieved using existing datasets. Validation will use field data gathered in temperate and sub-arctic environment to assess pH dynamics in coastal areas with different degree of eutophication.
