Project description

We will study whether expression of the Ly49E receptor on NK cells and skin intraepithelial T lymphocytes affects their in vivo immune response against tumors. Our hypothesis is that uPA produced by tumor cells is not only advantageous for these cells by promoting their invasion and metastasis, but also because it is used as an escape mechanism from the host innate immune system.
