Project description

In order to resolve ongoing issues regarding the fine-scale identification of deep-water contourite deposits within seismic stratigraphic records, this project aims – for the first time – to deconvolve this signal from a borehole-to-seismic approach. The study areas represent proximal, intermediate and distal locations of the Mediterranean Outflow Water (over 3000 km), creating a novel long-distance insight on its palaeoceanography.
