Project description

In molecular (cell) biology, many assays rely on the accurate, high-throughput measurement of absorbance, fluorescence, or luminescence. A multimode plate reader offers the flexibility to support a wide range of such assays. Currently, the Agrozoology research group depends on two separate instruments for microplate-based analyses. After more than 13 years of service, the instruments are increasingly prone to technical malfunctions, moreover, they are no longer supported by the manufacturers, rendering maintenance and repair unfeasible. To maintain the high standards of our research, we seek to replace these outdated instruments with a single, modern multimode microplate reader that integrates all necessary detection capabilities. The Agrozoology group shares all core equipment and infrastructure. This collaborative approach fosters interdisciplinary research and ensures efficient, broad use of the new equipment.
