Project description

This project investigates the activities, composition, and importance of four cultural networks between 1900-1920 in London and Paris, using the literary-sociological theory of Pierre Bourdieu as a framework. A case study examines the role and function of literary networks in the dissemination of philosophical, psycho-analytic and sociologic theories such as those of Bergson, Freud and Marx.
