Project description

Blue mussels are commonly traded and distributed in live condition. Thus, atmospheres play a vital
role in their survival, microbial growth, and the production of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The
aims of the study are to identify the quality indices under gaseous atmospheres, determine the
production mechanisms, and define the requirements and criteria for smart packaging of live blue
mussels.
