Project description

Being the simplest non-trivial configurations of magnetic nanostructures, vortices are not only interesting study objects, but offer new perspectives for magnetic data storage. An optimally pulsed synchrotron X-ray source will be used to investigate the ultra fast dynamics of the vortex core in an X-ray microscope. Additionally, the interaction of spin waves with the core dynamics will be investigated.
