Project description

The role of social processes in the experience of pain and disability are underinvestigated. Therefore, I want to examine the dterminants of parental behavior as a response to their child's pain. The focus will be on catastrophic thoughts of parents. From affective-motivational perspectives, I will investigate whether catastrophic thoughts result in fear reactions and behaviours aimed at reducing pain.
