Project description

Karrikins and strigolactones are plant hormones which share a common signaling cascade, and a common structural butenolide feature. A newly developped gold catalysed rearrangement is used to obtain new butenolide analogues in order to shed light on the biological pathways involved and to obtain useful new agrochemicals.
