Project description

This PhD will study the Neotropical Russulaceae diversity, through thorough sampling and taxonomical descriptions, together with the assembly of a well-documented database. This will fill the gaps in the current Russulaceae phylogenies and will form a link between traditional studies of above ground diversity and metagenomic studies of below ground diversity, which often lack the needed taxonomical knowledge.
