Project description

Focusing on the figure of Baekeland, this project aims at gaining insight in the determinants of successful entrepreneurship. It not only considers his individual qualities, but also the contemporary business climate and economic, social and cultural circumstances that shaped the margins and possibilities within which Baekeland operated. The transnational transfer of knowledge and network analysis are key points of interest.
