I intend to reconstruct the networks of the Vlaams Economisch Verbond with the help of network analysis. I hope to reveal its part in two fundamental transformations of Belgian society of the last forty years: the transition from a highly standardised economy (Fordism) to a flexible knowledge economy (post-Fordism) and the federalisation of the Belgian state.
