Project description

The goal of this project is the development of an engine cycle model for light alcohols. A model will be developed for the normal combustion of (m)ethanol in spark ignition engines, for which a laminar burning velocity correlation will be developed. Next, this correlation will be incorporated in an engine cycle code and validated. Finally, abnormal combustion will be modeled.
