Project description
ESNIP 3, a continuation of the previous EC-supported surveillance networks ESNIP1 and 2, aims to achieve a better understanding of the epidemiology of swine influenza virus (SIV) in Europe. Therefore, ESNIP3 studies the extent of antigenic and genetic evolution of SIVs in Europe, establishes and maintains a European SIV bank and interacts with other influenza networks and the international community.
