Project description

Six years ago, liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry was introduced in the anti-doping laboratory of the Flemish Community and the Ghent University. In the last 5 years, sensitive methods were developed for the detection and confirmation of small molecules with this technique. Because LC-MS can also be applied for the detection of peptide-hormones new research will be initiated to implement LC-MS for the routine detection of synacthen and ACTH.
