This acvity relates to the planning and execuon of the DTN, parcularly markeng and recruitment of students and the admission process. The first intake of PhD candidates was admi_ed into the programme in 2020 and the network connues to expand with two rounds of admissions per year, through a process of call-for-applicants. The purpose is to create an interdisciplinary and internaonal network of urban mobility PhD students throughout Europe. Through courses, forums, and internaonal exchanges at universies, municipalies, and industry partners, the DTN aims to facilitate the personal and professional growth of young academics working to get their PhD.
This acvity also relates to the planning and execuon of the Annual Doctoral Forum, and the development and execuon of the DTN I&E course package. It builds upon the experiences from the previous Annual Doctoral Forum events held in Munich in 2021 and Barcelona in 2022 and the inial I&E courses developed.
