Project description

Substructures of finite classical polar spaces, the geometries associated to finite classical groups, are studied. We use standard geometrical and combinatorial methods, but we also connect some problems, in polar speaces of rank 2, to the so called direction problems in affine spaces. The study of this problem is a substantial part of the project
