Project description

The objective is to elucidate the influnce of lamin mutations on cell function in the context of ageing diseases.Intracellular compartmentalization and spatiotemporal dynamics of singaling molecules will be studied using advanced microscopy and molecular-biochemical analyses. With this work, we intend to link structural defects with cell function and thereby create a fundamental understanding of the development of laminopathies.
