With this project we aim to further develop a prototype filter for removing different forms of phosphorus from agricultural tile drainage systems and upscale the filtering system for use in controlled drainage systems. Second
we will use our contacts with companies active in (agricultural) water treatment to look for possibilities for commercialization of these filters. Third, we want to screen for other applications of our filter systems. The successful implementation of these systems will have
positive environmental and economic effect on the agricultural sector by reduction of P losses and costs linked with manure processing.
