failed fertilization oocyte activation ICSI

Project description

Failed fertilization after ICSI occurs in some couples, mostly due to an oocyte activation deficiency. Both the sperm and the oocyte play an important role in this oocyte activation mechanism. We want to explore new diagnostic tests and causes in this deficiency of sperm or oocytes, which might lead to new treatment options to overcome failed fertilization.
