Project description

In PIPEDREAM we want to want to create a cost-effective electronic driver chip set for controlling large-scale and programmable photonic integrated circuits, and offer ways to easily integrate these chips together in a small-form-factor package that can be used in diverse application settings. Such a chip set can dramatically speed up product development for photonic chip companies (e.g. for sensors, information processing, LiDAR, …), and boost UGent’s endeavour to set up a spin-off company around programmable photonic processors.
