Project description

The strategic goal of this project is to increase the longer term sustainability of broiler production, by improving animal welfare and the prevention of diseases through faster diagnosis of intestinal problems, which antbioticumgebruik limits. The specific project objectives of the Project are: - The identification of risk factors for the prevention of dysbiosis in broilers. - The development of a simple diagnostic methods for dysbiosis - To describe the microbiotasamenstelling, morphological / immunological alterations of the intestinal mucosa and systemic responses in dysbiosis - the development of an in vivo model for dysbiosis, which can be used for testing the efficacy of nutritional or other prevention strategies - development and implementation of prevention strategies based on the knowledge of the pathogenesis and avoiding risk factors
