Project description

This research focuses on the identification of radicals, produced in DNA via ionizing radiation, using electron nuclear double resonance (ENDOR) as main spectroscopic tool. No large single crystals can be made from DNA, as a result experiments have to be performed on powders and frozen soluitions. The ENDOR methodology for such disordered systems will first be developed via a case study on sugars.
